The FCSAR participates in numerous community events including:
Sponsoring and hosting an Easter Egg hunt for the special needs community
Participating in the annual parades in St. Anthony and Ashton
Provide support for the Mesa Falls Marathon & the Ashton American Dog Derby
Serve as flaggers for Intermountain Snocross Races in Ashton and Island Park
Assist the ballplayers on the Angels in the Outfield special needs baseball team
Help cook breakfast at the St. Anthony’s Fishermen’s Breakfast
Support the Idaho State Search and Rescue

Easter Egg Hunt
Thanks to grant funding from Blackfoot Communications and the Live Foundation, the FCSAR hosts the Upper Snake River Communities Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt.
This event is for children and adults of all ages who have special needs, live with various life challenges, and/or have disabilities. The event is held at the baseball fields in St. Anthony.
Parades
The FCSAR participates in the Annual Fourth of July parade in Ashton as well as Pioneer Days in St. Anthony. Members “clean and spit-polish” FCSAR equipment and put it on display for the public to see.
American Dog Derby
For many years the FCSAR has provided a public service to the American Dog Derby by providing traffic control, assistance in setting up the course, patrolling the race, crowd control, and ensuring the safety of the participants, dog teams, and spectators alike.
Angels in the Outfield
Angels in the Outfield is a community baseball team for children with special needs. An FCSAR member is assigned to each ball player to assist them in participating in the event.
Demolition Derby
The Demolition Derby is the primary fundraising event hosted by the FCSAR. Members spend hundreds of hours preparing for and hosting this community event. Drivers come from all over the state to compete and win added-money purses. The FCSAR derby hosts competition for full-size, mid-size, mini, and 2WD pickups. The event also features Mad Marvin's Figure 8 Racers and Rocky Mountain Mower's Association.
IMR Snocross
Intermountain Snowmobile Racing (IMR) is an organization that fosters youth sports competition, develops quality snowmobile programs which promote fun and a competitive environment for youth, and promotes and supports the character building principles of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and good citizenship. FCSAR members volunteer as flaggers at the events that are held in Ashton and Island Park.
