Fundraising Events

Demolition Derby

The FCSAR holds an annual Demolition Derby at the Fremont County Fairgrounds in St. Anthony, Idaho.  This is the prime FCSAR fundraiser for the Unit to raise funds.  The proceeds from the event are used to purchase new equipment, maintain and repair existing equipment, pay for training, and other expenses for the Unit.

On May 15, 2021, the Fremont County Search and Rescue held a golf scramble fundraising event at the Fremont County Golf Course. The tournament fully booked with nineteen teams participating. Many businesses and individuals donated prizes and cash for a silent auction, raffle drawings, and other prizes. The first-, second-, and third-place teams won cash prizes then surprised everyone by donating their winnings back to the Unit.

The FCSAR would like to sincerely thank the Fremont Count Golf Course, all participants, and all prize donors for making this such a successful event! The Unit looks forward to hosting another tournament in the future.

Appreciation Dinner

The FCSAR holds an annual Appreciation Dinner to thank the members for their service.  The Unit provided dinner for the members and then the event is opened to the public for a “meet and greet” the search and rescue members.  This event also serves as a fundraiser with a raffle.  Funds are also raised from donations the public makes while attending the event.  Unfortunately, in 2020 the event was cancelled because of covid-related restrictions.  The Unit is hopeful that the event can be held in 2021 so the public can meet their dedicated search and rescue members.
